[ Biyomon has made a discovery and since he'd talked to the other Digimon partner on the subject before, he felt like he could knock off two bird with a stone. Update him on the topic and have somebody to talk to about it that wouldn't treat him like an annoyance. ]
hey coronamon! how's it going?
has your partner been affected by what's happening to all the humans lately?
[Vanguard sits up suddenly, staring at the D-terminal with a perplexed frown. Not a robot? Don't tell him he's a rock... His quick answer should be an indicator that Biyomon has his attention in its entirety.]
[ Unseen, Biyomon nodded enthusiastically at the text. ]
Exactly! 100% data, like us. I asked him if he was a Digimon and he scowled a lot and was like holy snakes no, but we both exist in a digital world. [ He'd felt badly for Forte once he'd told him: he couldn't imagine not being able to throw a Spiral Twister at whatever annoyed him. And all that squishiness! ]
Better yet, he's started smiling a bit. Getting his body back put him in a less grouchy mood.
[ Even if... the smiles were creepy ones. Super creepy ones. It was better than nothing!! ]
Well. I like my feathers where they are, thanks. There are limits to what I can get away with.
[ Biyomon pauses. Then he gets up and takes a good, hard look at the nearest building. Next he compares it to how big Coronamon's partner sounds to be. Then he compares that to how... small loud, boastful Coronamon must seem in contrast.
He whistles slowly. ]
That's really, really big. Aren't you worried he might step on people by accident or something? And a car? A lot of metal must have done in building the guy.
Nah. He's used to being around humans where he comes from, and he cares way too much. Maybe he's got this robot-human radar or what-not but he's always careful.
[Vanguard rubs his face.]
And yeah, yeah. Drives around as a shiny car, big cool giant robot, everybody things it's amazing. Trust me, I know. I been hearing it all morning.
[ Biyomon feels a sharp, sudden pang of wistfulness at that and thinks his partner could stand to take a few pages out of Coronamon's Chosen's book, not that Forte ever would. ]
Well, good for you. One less thing on your plate to worry about then.
[ Then he gets confused. Both at the irritated tone of the text and the contents. Deciding that it would be overly blunt to go "are you unhappy with your partner's current state?" he responds. ]
All morning? I haven't have that problem but... Right, it would be a lot harder to a miss a building-size robot than a human-sized NetNavi that doesn't talk to people.
Sure, giant robot-cars are impressive, but it's just the novelty of it, I think. Gawking isn't too strange. It's not like he's a Mega Digimon. Give them a week and they'll think it's nothing special. Unless I'm missing something here?
[He narrowly considers talking about his resentment. After all, Biyomon hasn't ever judged him before. If anything, being around his partner likely gave him a high tolerance to sour, angry dispositions. Biyomon was probably used to it.
But Vanguard holds his tongue. Thinking about it only frustrates him more, so he squishes it down. Besides, they've been trying to figure out Biyomon's partner. He's like a puzzle that's finally been solved.]
It's not important.
You gonna tell me what a NetNavi is supposed to be?
It's about your partner!!! Of course it's important!
[ If you can convey indignant concern in overuse of exclamation points, Biyomon would done it.
There's a pause before he sends the next reply. ]
I dunno. The most I got out of him was it's a super advanced computer program. And that it's way more powerful than a human. He wouldn't talk anymore about it. [ :c "Talk," meaning Biyomon nagged Forte to open up to him, Forte barely restrained himself from strangling him, they argued and then it was back to the cold shoulder for a hour or two. ] I'm just guessing where I said he's from a digital world like us. I mean, that's what would make sense, right? Data needs a place to exist for programs to be self-aware.
Makes sense to me. Though, it sure doesn't take much to be more powerful than a human. Either way, I guess being stronger or more powerful is important to him.
You've just got to wonder what exactly he was made to do as a 'super advanced' program.
[He juggles the idea of telling Biyomon. And then finally relents. Biyomon wins. He'll... spill.]
There's one person who doesn't think having a big robot for a partner's so great.
[ He's not so confident of him succeeding in wearing Forte down for a good long while, but Biyomon didn't mind sharing what he could unearth with Coronamon. The other Digimon had been nothing but reliable if on the boastful side of things so far.
A serious nod. ]
You have my word. This is between you and me, not anybody else.

Figures that all it took was turning him into this NetNavi thing. Whatever that is.

Date: 2014-02-02 09:37 pm (UTC)Hahah. Laugh it up, I'm telling the truth! It happened! Once or twice...
[ The anger and hate levels in his partner haven't decreased at all however. Biyomon huffed, then typed in: ]
Not that much has changed, Coronamon. How are you and your Chosen? He's a robot, right??
[text]
Date: 2014-02-03 12:14 am (UTC)[His expression sours.]
Yeah. He's a big robot. As big as a building. He can also turn into a car.

You?
